Security Analysis of the Diebold AccuVote-TS Voting Machine

Now this is just getting plain pathetic. More sadness from the Diebold boting machine. Princton has done a study on this, showing how to commit viter fraud, and also how to open the box with a common key that can be purchased on the internet, and thousands of these keys already exist. Also, if you have a hotel mini-bar key, that will work on this voting machine too.

World Military Strength Ranking

A shakedown by resources per country, in case you’re filling out our Fantasy Way Sheet…..
It’s interesting to see how dispreportional we spend on defense in relation to other countries, and can we sustain this high rate of expenditure of over $500B per year and consume over twice as many barrels of oil per day than we produce.

If history has shown the observer one thing, it is that war is a part of life. Strange as that may sound, documented records report only 300 years of known peace on our planet, leaving the rest to wallow in the path of war.

Citizens Against Government Waste:

Oh yes, this is a great site, fantastic. But don’t read it on a full stomach, you might throw up. Why? This site lists all the port barrell spending out senators and representatives cajoule up to bring back to their districts. Somewhere along the line, the role of representing your constituents has changed to paying off your constituents to keep you in office. Some of this years “winners” include:

* $13,500,000 for the International Fund for Ireland, which helped finance the World Toilet Summit
*$6,435,000 for wood utilization research
*$1,000,000 for the Waterfree Urinal Conservation Initiative
*$500,000 for the Sparta Teapot Museum in Sparta, N.C.

The 375 projects, totaling $3.4 billion, in this year’s Congressional Pig Book Summary symbolize the most egregious and blatant examples of pork. As in previous years, all of the items in the Congressional Pig Book Summary meet at least one of CAGW’s seven criteria, but most satisfy at least two:

* Requested by only one chamber of Congress;
* Not specifically authorized;
* Not competitively awarded;
* Not requested by the President;
* Greatly exceeds the President’s budget request
or the previous year’s funding;
* Not the subject of congressional hearings; or
* Serves only a local or special interest.

While this looks like small numbers in the grand scheme of things, it actually adds up to over $29B this year…

Ten major news stories the media is ignoring – MarketWatch

Now on this top ten list, this story is #2, but based on current events, it should be numero uno…
And why isn’t this more focused on in the news? Is it factual, substantiated? BAsed on history, I would say there’s a high probability….

Halliburton, the notorious U.S. energy company, sold key nuclear-reactor components to a private Iranian oil company called Oriental Oil Kish as recently as 2005, using offshore subsidiaries to circumvent U.S. sanctions. The story is particularly juicy because Vice President Dick Cheney, who now claims to want to stop Iran from getting nukes, was president of Halliburton in the mid-1990s, at which time he may have advocated business dealings with Iran, in violation of U.S. law.

And some of the coolest saying that I like……

1. A PBS mind in an MTV world.
2. It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
3. Scientists say 1 out of every 4 people are crazy. Check 3 friends, if they are OK, you’re it.
4. If you think nobody cares if you’re alive, try missing a couple of car payments.
5. If you tell the truth you don’t have to remember anything.
6. If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again; it was probably worth it.
7. Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I cannot accept, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those people I had to kill today because they pissed me off.
