Controversies – The Most Violent Police Force in U.S.: Albuquerque, New Mexico – AllGov – News

With what we already know about the state of law enforcement these days, I can’t help but wonder if there is a segment of the population that are attracted to becoming police officers merely to live out their beliefs and desires. As though it provides them a safe haven for their actions. Just can’t help but wonder.

  1. The Police Forces around the country are filled with a cross-section of the American people. There are good police officers who want to help their community and then there are “bad” police officers who should not be and don’t have the disposition to be effective guardians of the community.
We never hear about the thousands of interactions between good police officers and bad criminals or good police officers and good citizens. We only hear about the interactions that go wrong, either because the police officer or because of the suspect or because of both of them.
There are a lot of problems in the good ole U.S. of A. No community runs perfectly. My angst is that it seems that it is more important to complain about the problems to the media than to actually solve them. It’s not so easy to have honest dialogue and then to go out and take action to solve problems.
