Well, I’ve come to the conclusion that after searching long and hard, there simply is nothing out there for the Mac that comes close to MS Onenote. OneNote, the only MS app that is more Mac intuitive than on Windows. So, I guess I’m sticking with Fusion and chewing up an additional 250MB of memory to run OneNote in a VM….

Time Warner Cable
TWC has several packages that is you want a particular one, you have to subscribe to other packages as well. But by browsing through the different packages, we’ve determined that we only want three packages, HD, HD Suite and FAmily Choice. So why oh why can’t we just subscribe to the packages that we want and not have to subject ourselves and pay for channels and packages that we’ll never view? TWC will say that it would cost the consumer more if we get an a-la-cart service because they have to purchase the programming in bulk based on the amount of subscribers overall, or something like that. Well there’s a way to fix that. This is where Congress can be useful. Content providers can only charge the cable/phone companies based on the amount of subscribers that actually select their programing. So if for example, one million people subscribe to HGTV, then TWC pays based on that subscription amount.

Post to del.icio.us from Safari | adamia
Based on a combination of Safari, Applescript, Pukka, and Quicksilver, several mac power-users have found acceptable solutions for posting to del.icio.us from Safari. However, I have a slightly different workflow for del.icio.us than Splee, so I customized it a bit. I have a few requirements for an acceptable del.icio.us workflow:
The Federal Universal Service Fund
Universal Service Home Page The goals of Universal Service, as mandated by the 1996 Act, are to promote the availability of quality services at just, reasonable, and affordable rates; increase access to advanced telecommunications services throughout the Nation; advance the availability of such services to all consumers, including those in low income, rural, insular, and high cost areas at rates that are reasonably comparable to those charged in urban areas. In addition, the 1996 Act states that all providers of telecommunications services should contribute to Federal universal service in some equitable and nondiscriminatory manner; there should be specific, predictable, and sufficient Federal and State mechanisms to preserve and advance universal service; all schools, classrooms, health care providers, and libraries should, generally, have access to advanced telecommunications services; and finally, that the Federal-State Joint Board and the Commission should determine those other principles that, consistent with the 1996 Act, are necessary to protect the public interest.
Every month, Time Warner Cable has a separate line item on my bill for this item. But apparently, this federal initiative is not working as I’m still a TWC customer with no real option on providers. I still have sub-par service, expensive costs for lower medium bandwidth at best. Since TWC implemented their broad net of reigning in costs by implementing QoS, legitimate services are now affected. I use mozy.com for online backups and I have the turbo charged RoadRuner which is supposed to give me ~460kb/s upload speed which I was receiving when my MacBook Pro backs up. But since the service implementation or "service degradation", my maximum up upload speed is now just ~60kb/s or less. That’s almost 1/8th the bandwidth that I used to have. So what are my options? Realistically…none….
Russian Navy counts on new ICBM in '08 – USATODAY.com
Well, maybe we do need to extend the Seawolf submarine program. Besides, what else do we have to spend our money on besides another arms race. At least it’s with our old, predictable friends….
Russian Navy counts on new ICBM in ’08 – USATODAY.com MOSCOW (AP) — The Russian Navy plans to commission a new intercontinental ballistic missile next year after completing its tests, its chief said Sunday. Adm. Vladimir Masorin said that the Navy was to conduct another two test launches of the Bulava-M missile this year and complete its testing program next year, Russian news wires reported. "We have no doubt that the testing of the Bulava-M missile system will be completed successfully," Masorin said, according to the Interfax news agency. "We have no other alternatives. We hope that the missile will be adopted by the Navy in 2008." President Vladimir Putin has hailed the Bulava as a key component of the nation’s nuclear forces for years to come and boasted about its ability to penetrate any prospective missile defenses. However, three consecutive test launches of the Bulava last year ended in failure, raising doubts about the missile’s future. The failures threatened to derail government plans for commissioning new submarines, the first of which was to join the navy next year.

For certain customers, Jermaine Jordan, 26, of St. Albans, would double-cup his cold concoctions – tucking the drugs neatly between the two containers and giving new meaning to the term coke float, authorities said. "People would approach and place their order," a police source said. "The bottom of their cup would contain their purchase, either cocaine or marijuana."
