IE, CSS and what the F***?

So I think I’m using compliant based stuff in my stlye sheets, to which I have the following entry:

.moblog {
float: left;
margin: 0 0.4em 0.1em 0;
vertical-align: top;
padding: 2px;
border: 0px;
}

This allows my text to wrap around images on this blog, instead of starting the text on the next line below an image. Works fine with Firefox and the various other browsers, but nooooo, not with IE.
So when you visit this site and if you’re using IE, please for the best experience, use a compliant browser as there are many to choose from. My days of trying to figure out how to write for IE and the rest of the browser world are over, I’m writing in accordance with the rest of the world.

Isuzu – 200K reached….Ford – 3 million recalled

200kmiles Well, she finally made it. The hoopdy reached 200,000 miles this week. While she’s a 1998 Trooper II, we’ve still spent way less on maintenance than on our 1999 Ford Winstar. In fact, there has been no major maintenance on the hoopty outside of normal maintenance. Original transmission, A/C, etc. Now she does have some (a lot) sqeaking, creeking and rattling, but she never blew her transmission at 66K miles just by putting her in reverse to back out of the garage (like the Ford did).

Playlist upgraded

Well, just upgraded KPlaylist from v1.4 to v1.6. Have to say, must have been the easiest upgrade of any program I ever done.

For those who don’t know, the on-demand streaming media for luken.org is powered by kplaylist 2 http://www.kplaylist.com. This program is a great example of what PHP can do. It’s essentially a single file, drop it in a directory and create a MySQL database. If you have an account on this site, feel free to check out the new features.

BBC NEWS | Business | Ex-Worldcom finance chief jailed

sullivan I’m thinking of a better title, like “Bernie’s Bitch gets only 5 for sqealing like a pig” or “Never cook the books while doing crack”. Anyway, Scottie [soon to be know as SweetCheeks Scottie] gets 5 years, because he testified against his boss. I think it should have been 15, minimum. A lot of people have been affected by this, lost jobs, nest eggs, investments, and the lists goes on.

So, as for the rest of gang?
Bernie Ebbers, former chief – 25 years in jail
Scott Sullivan, former finance chief – five years’ prison
David Myers, former controller – one year and a day in jail
Buford Yates, former accounting director – a year and a day in prison
Betty Vinson, accounting manager – five months jail, five months house arrest
Troy Normand, accountant – three years’ probation
