D.A. announces plan to run for senator in N.Y. next year

pirro It’s begun, the New York senate race, and shooting out of the gate is another district attorney. Now I find this a bit funny as this race is already being labeled, “Battle of the Bitches”.

Now Jeanine Pirro, an attorney, is running on the premise that Hillary will be running for president, and if she’s on the presidential campain trail for two years, Jeanine states “Two years without a senator — we ]New York] lose out,”. She argues that an absentee senator would hurt New York’s ability to get federal money for transportation, homeland security and other needed union based pork projects. Well, at least she’s a New Yorker, even if she’s outside the city. I still don’t think that Hillary can get from Yankee stadium to Shea via train.

So here’s the tale of the tape….
Jeanine is 54, Hillary is 57, advantage: Jeanine
Both are mothers…. advantage: positive for both
Both consider themselves moderates…..advantage: whatever …
Both support abortion rights…..advantage: follow the wind
Both have fought to protect abused women and children…..advantage: both
Appearance…advantage: Jeanine (now that’s just sexist)
Spouses…advantage Hillary
Both of their husbands have had run-ins with the law. Albert Pirro served time for tax fraud and Bill Clinton was impeached, but got off (quite literally) by not defining the meaning of sex.

pirroHey, how can you not trust a smile like that?

With such an interesting choce of candidates, who seem quite similiar in many regards (outside political affiliation), whom does one choose? Just go with the party line or vote on the issues, where their stance will seem quite blurred between them. It will be difficult for New Yorkers on this one, unless Hillary just charms Jeanine out of the picture. Which by the way, can’t we get other people to run for office besides attorneys who’s spouses have not been on the straight and narrow? Or is that relevant?

Technology News: Security : Microsoft Rejects Report on Vista Virus

Or should we say “Microsoft to drop software that is prone ti virus, after touting it at TechED. Microsoft’s new scripting language/command shell was touted at Teched this year. But after a recent virus issue, MS now says Monad won’t be included in Windows Vista.

So is this a new strategy? Got a problem, remove the function. Does this mean the IE7 will be removed from Windows Vista also?

Iran nuclear plant restarts processing uranium, UN bans Ice Cream sales to Iran ….

Well, the light switch has been flipped back on at the enrichment facility plant in Iran. the US-EU coalition against the spread of bad stuff will probably ask the ever crippled and sometimes useless United Nations to provide sanctions against Iran. Then after that fails, we’ll reprioritize the Axis of Evil list. At least we know for sure that Iran has WMD’s. And if we look really hard, we’ll find the missing Iraqi WMD’s there also.

ABC News: Peter Jennings Dies at 67

jenningsABC News Anchor Peter Jennings died today at his home in New York City. He was 67. On April 5, Jennings announced he had been diagnosed with lung cancer. Truly a sad day for journalism as personally, I had a high found respect for him. Amongst journalists, that’s rare. But he didn’t fit the mold “my impression” of the typical journalist that is distant and disconnected, aristocratic, rigid, and unconcerning. He seemed genuine, didn’t add sensationalism to his reporting and had a strong found interest in the next generation and the implecations of our policies on them.. Windows Genuine Advantage cracked again

Or should we say Windoew Crack Advantage…

Microsoft’s efforts to fight counterfeiting have hit another snag with the posting of a new method claimed to get around a Windows piracy check.

At what point will MS learn that the development costs to counterfit piracy is worth the costs, as there is a largr community that will always provide a workaround for a much lower cost. The best they (MS) can do is adjust their pricing (if they want) and be nice to people, happy happy, joy joy ….
